It’s easy to get caught up in the whirlwind — the wins, the losses, the rankings, the scholarships. But remember: those things aren’t the real goal. They’re not even the real measure. The real goal is simple: for your child to discover what’s within them. To build something real. To play their game, their way, with everything they have.
At CP, we teach that success isn’t later — it’s now. It’s not somewhere out there in the future. It’s alive in how your athlete shows up today. It's in how they face challenge, how they rise after falling, how they find joy in competing.
Your job isn’t to want success for them. Your job is to trust in them. To trust that everything they need is already within. To remind them, when they forget, that pressure is not a problem — it’s a privilege. That competition isn’t something to fear — it’s something to embrace. That playing their game fully is more important than any single outcome.
Love their effort more than their results. Celebrate their courage more than their wins. Care more about who they’re becoming than what they’re achieving.
Because if they learn to show up fully, moment after moment, they won’t just succeed in tennis. They’ll succeed in life.
